The J. Hilburn Opportunity

Behind every great man there is a great personal Style Advisor. As a J. Hilburn Personal Style Advisor, you play a vital role in the creation of unique, individual style for many men.

Five years ago, if you had told Veeral or me that one day we would start up a men’s custom clothing company, we would have flat-out called you crazy.

Back then, we were a couple of hardcore Wall Street guys. We shared a passion for custom-made dress shirts and for the pampered feeling we got from wearing them. That passion got us thinking.  We studied the men’s luxury market and saw that nobody was delivering quality custom clothing and personal service at a price that was the same as, or less than, the off-the-rack product.

So we set our vision, and our business was born. But it didn’t happen overnight.  J. Hilburn is the culmination of years of personal sacrifice and commitment to our vision.  We persevered when others would have quit, and we partnered only with those willing to bet on us and who shared our passion to build something great.

The very first sales presentation was at my own Dallas home. It was just a few swatches laid out on my pool table, and a ton of enthusiasm and drive.  We still talk about the vision, opportunity, and excitement expressed that night. It is that vision and excitement – along with a lot of hard work and momentum – that has carried us to where we are now. And that very same pool table where it all began, now occupies a special place of honor at our new corporate offices.
